Q: Do I have to stay at the LOST 2014 host hotel?
A. No, it’s not required that you stay at the LOST 2014 host hotel. You’re welcome to stay anywhere you’d like! That said, there are a few benefits of staying at the host hotel which include:
- Our reception will be held on property. Which means you won’t have to travel to get there – just head downstairs!
- Event check-in will be held at the Hilton Waikiki Beach.
- This will be the location for the bus pick-up and drop-off for the LOST Filming Location tours.
- Several attendees are staying here and it’s also where LOST 2014 organizers are staying as well.
Q. Why are there two hotel options for LOST 2014?
A. The Hilton Waikiki Beach is the official host hotel for LOST 2014. However, we wanted to provide an option for the Kahala Hotel & Resort, a beautiful property where LOST actually filmed.
Q. Does the event have an official airline carrier?
A. We looked into this option, but we have so many people coming from so many different locations that one airline carrier wouldn’t do. So we decided to forgo this option. Also, the discounts we were receiving weren’t better than what you’d get using a site like Travelocity or Expedia. So those are your best bets!
Q. When are the best deals offered online for travel?
A. Keep checking the travel sites every few days and see if the prices improve.
Q. When do I need to arrive for LOST 2014?
Our event is scheduled to run from September 20 through September 22. Travel plans should accommodate being ready to enjoy LOST 2014 starting first thing on September 20. Most attendees are arriving several days in advance of the event.
