Q. If I bid on and win an item in the Cancer Gets LOST auction on Monday night, how will payment work? Who benefits from the proceeds?
A. Cancer Gets LOST has designated that 100% of the proceeds from this auction are to be donated directly to the American Cancer Society!
There will be iPad stations set up around the auction for you to make a tax-deductible donation (in the amount of your winning bid) immediately via the American Cancer Society site. You can also choose to make the donation on your phone. You will simply need to show your email receipts to the CGL team to receive your items!
Q. How is the auction at LOST 2014 in Hawaii different from the other Cancer Gets LOST auction taking place online at the same time?
A. The primary and larger CGL charity auction, benefiting the American Cancer Society, is online only and open from September 1-27. The charity auction in Hawaii, with 100% of the proceeds being donated directly to the ACS, will feature fewer and smaller items (but almost of them will be exclusive to LOST 2014 attendees)! You can bid on these items during the silent auction on Monday night after the 10 Year Anniversary Party! And they have 2 very special pieces of memorabilia to auction off during a live auction that night as well!
